This November, I would have been eligible for retirement from the military. However, in the second year of my service, LGBT service men attacked me in my bed one night. As a result of the attack, I was unable to continue to serve. I wanted to serve and have a career. Believe me, if there was a way for me to continue to serve, I would have. But it just was not going to happen.

I can't help wonder what life would be like if I was able to stay. I know I would be financially sound, instead of being one of the 35% unemployed over the last eight years, and don't think the VA is here to help. I went to them after getting out of service, and they took 15 years to acknowledge the attack. However, the VA decided they don't care.

There is a very bright point here. Over the last two decades, God has been reminding me of all the people's lives I've touched for God. It's true, if I was able to stay in the military, I would be financially well off, but God would not have been able to use me.

God can use anyone, even those who deny God, but the way God has used me would not have been possible serving in the military.

Should I be mad, disappointed, even resentful for the loss of a career in the military? No. This life is temporary, put what we do for the kingdom of God is eternal. Jesus said "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal." Matthew 6:20. So those LGBT servicemen have their treasures here on Earth; I will continue to look towards Jesus and the reward He has for me.

So if you have people who have done you wrong, don't fret. For they certainly don't give you a second thought concerning you, so don't let them occupy any of your time and thoughts. Forgive and keep your eyes on Jesus.

Update and upgrade; don't always mean better.

Apple continues to make changes to iOS and insist it is better. Well it is not. With their latest iOS, my once working iPhone is now barely working. Here are just some of the problems I've encountered and there is bound to be more:

I have no control over the contacts. It randomly adds and removes contacts on its own, including saying I’m not me. After getting help from Apple support, all these contacts are now gone, however, I cannot add any contact information. I tried entering legitimate contact information on my iPhone, but it does not show on the phone’s contact file.
I cannot get my phone to turn on. I press the on button then slide to open. What comes up is an edit circle, sometimes stocks, amazon, and Facebook apps. This is also available by swiping down to get the same menu. So there is redundancy.
The touch screen does not seem to want to respond. It takes several tries selecting something to get it to open, in the meantime, other apps open in response to my attempts to open an app.
The contacts will not update to the iMac, nor do the contacts update to the iPhone.
Calendar does not sync. Attempting to sync causes every event to be double listed. Alerts are not 100% working, forcing me to just stop using calendar all together.
It does not hold a charge for long. After fully charged, I set the phone down before going to bed, the next morning it is dead. Another day it went down to 41%.
Music pays on its own.
I could not turn off camera.

As You can see this does not make for a better phone. My phone worked perfectly when I first bought it. Now I really have just a phone and messages, not much else, and certainly not what I was looking for when I decided to buy the iPhone.

Speaking on upgrades. My bank decided to cancel my check card. They did not tell me, I just had to find out when getting milk. I called the bank and they insist there is nothing they can do. Monday I went to the bank and demanded they reactivate my check card. They refused, and insisted I need to get one of the new fancy tracking chip cards. One representative said it is a government mandate.

Well I'll tell you, I can't get that thing to work. So now I'm having to go back to all cash, and where I am that is not safe. This also means getting gas for the car is going to take much longer, as it involves having to go inside and work out a deal to allow me to get gas. Including having to return inside to get any change, and there will be change since I have no way of determining the exact amount it will cost to fill up the tank.

I have been looking online about those cards. From what I can find out, and I think most of it is written by the banks, there are good and bad to them. The Internet postings say this is more security, however, it will cost businesses more money to comply and every transaction will take twice as long as before. Some postings indicated this is not pessary since credit card payment apps are far more secure than the tracking chips.

I for one don't feel like having my location GPSed anytime.

I've heard many things said this election cycle. Eight years ago I said it would be bad if the Muslim Obama were to become president. During his time as president, America has shrunk away from being a world power, turned against Israel, and persecuted American Christians. He has also pushed for the rise of deplorable groups to control and dictate the lives of private citizens.

I've heard people say they are just voting on the party line regardless of who is on the ballot. This is stupid. People like this are not researching the candidates and issues, and this makes for a disaster to come.

Here is my take on the possible outcome of the presidential election.

If Hillary Clinton were to win, Americans will be further marginalized. Foreign powers will gain increasing control of America. Eventually America will cease to exist as we have known it to be.

If Donald Trump wins, he will do what he can to bring America back to independence. Following the Great Depression of the 20th century, the president implemented programs aimed to bring jobs to Americans, and to rebuild the economy. The 1930s saw a rebound in the country and lead to America on the road to a world power in World War 2 and beyond.

One issue in this election had been the immigrants. Many immigrants come here claiming they want to a better life. Some comfort to American culture and become part of America. Others hold onto the country they came from and try to convert America to their home country. These second group of immigrants clearly think their home country is better than America. Therefore they should return to their great country instead of trying to convert America to their home country.

I don't mind the immigrants, but when I am dismissed in favor of a foreigner, such is the case years ago when one injured me to take my job and latter quit, I am very unhappy.

We should vote according to the values America was founded on, and also those priorities from the 1930s leading to America becoming a world power.

Despite who wins the presidency in 2016, America will not be the world power it was last century. It will take a lot of hard work to bring America back from the brink.

So I was talking with someone today about a movie. He said it was good but I know the movie is not. I asked him what makes a movie good. He stated the visual effects and violence. So by his standards a movie is good if it has a lot of visual effects and kills a lot of people.

How far have we fallen where killing people makes a movie 'good'.

It is not good. The message in the movie is not good, this being in addition to the killing. The Bible does say that in the end times, good will be called evil and evil will be called good.

Killing people is evil and that is being called good. We need to turn back to God.

Christians need to be more discerning. Yesterday  movie opened that equates God with a demon. This is not for entertainment value. Movie makers know movies influence people. Those who made X-men Apocalypse are trying to push their anti-Christian, anti-Bible, and anti-God agenda.

The degradation of society happens in stages. At first people don't talk about the sinful behavior and mindset. Then it becomes tolerance. Now it is being pressed on all people. Even many Christians today are accepting of these incorrect views of God. Some churches have openly accepted homosexuality and many other sinful behaviors and mindsets. These things are wrong.

Christians need to confront these sinful things instead of supporting them. Going to see such a movie is showing support, and encouraging others to go see it further \shows your support of these wrongful views and sinful behaviors.

Read the Holy Bible and know the Bible just like the back of your hand. In this way we Christians will know God's heart and be more discerning. Then we can teach others how to be more Godly.

Our age is marked by so much trouble. When growing up I heard adults talking about bad news on the TV everyday. That does not seem to have changed. Today we still hear bad news everyday. In our times we are living in what Jesus said there would be 'wars and rumors of wars'. Many believe, and I agree, Jesus was talking about the first world war followed by the famine and more wars. The more I study the history and compare it tot he teachings of Jesus, I am certain of this belief.

God gave a promise that the wicked will be gone from the land. Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. Psalm 37:34
But if we good people do nothing, the troubles we see today will become worse tomorrow. Then the wicked will inherit the land.

This is true. I remember the pressure from the military when I was in the service. They wanted me to forsake God. Now the news makes it look as if the military is out to persecute every Christian. The current muslim government of America is making efforts to carry out their anti-Christian and anti-Jewish agenda.

The Bible tells us that the wicked will rejoice when the church is raptured. The reason because the church is holding to God's principles. When the church is gone, the wicked will go about their wicked ways without restraint.

The rapture is coming, and from what I can see in the news, the kind of bad news out there, the rapture can easily be within our lifetime.

Now it the time to accept Jesus into your hears and life, to be saved.

Where is the economy going? For those who think the economy is good, here is an e-mail I received today from a corporation.
Unemployment is now on the rise in the U.S., which was inevitable with Obama's socialist policies, because due to onerous high corporate taxes small to mid-sized companies like our own have not hired in over a year. They have hidden this fact in the numbers, but now with oil companies and manufacturing companies and banks laying off tens of thousands at a time, they will no longer be able to hide it. Some will say this is not a trend yet, but we know better. It may not be a proven trend, but it is the beginning of one.

As you can see the government is not working to help the economy, it is pushing for more and more regulations; regulations that restrict businesses. Businesses are not going to hire more people if they can not make a profit. The more a business, regardless of size, has to pay to employ people, them less employees they will hire. If you wan tot take away money from a business, then the business will certainly  downsize. We've all seen how that worked in 2008 and 2009, and we are still feeling the effects. Many have seen this in the 1970's and late 1980's.

In the current political campaigns both Clinton and Sanders want to enact even more restrictive regulations on businesses. This is bad for the economy no matter what they do. We need people in office who know how to operate a business. Lincoln knew how to operate a business and during his time, despite the civil war, the economy grew. Reagan, during the 1980's, deregulated businesses and the economy grew. After he was out of office the economy went down.

Don't believe the political advertisements on television. Study the economy and understand how it works. If businesses can make a profit, they can hire more employees. The Democratic candidates are all talking about putting restrictions on businesses, big businesses, and anyone who has money. Just think about the Obama care. Everyone has to pay a fine for not having health insurance; this includes the homeless and destitute. Think about what they will go through if they could get a job and then file their taxes, expecting a refund, only to get a letter saying they owe hundreds of thousands of dollars for not having health insurance all their years of homelessness.

With Socialism individuals don't own property. All property and money belongs to everyone. This is why distribution of wealth is vitally important. With Communism it is Socialism at its extreme. You war told what to do and how to do it. Socialism allows some personal freedom in where you want to live and work, but Communism takes these last freedoms away.

Anytime you hear some political candidates talking about taking money from the wealthy or fair share, think Socialist or Communist. This is what you are voting for; what kind of America do you want to see emerge?

There is much debate between Christians and Jews about how to get to Heaven. Jews believe that all who obey a set of moral laws deserve a place in Heaven. These laws apply to all people, not just Jews. Even in the Bible God states several times there is one law for all peoples. Here are a couple of examples: Deuteronomy 31:12: Gather everyone- men, women, children, and the foreigners who live among you, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law.
Leviticus 18:26: But all of you must keep my rules and my regulations. You must not do any of these detestable things, neither citizen nor immigrant who lives with you.

Christians, on the other hand, believe that faith in Jesus is the only path to Heaven. But you may wonder about why Christians are quick to state aspects of God's law for different areas in life. Most of the laws Christians are stating are only found in the Old Testament.

Example:
In recent history, and still a topic of concern, is the homosexual agenda. Why are Christians so concerned? The law comes from Leviticus 20:13: If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
This law is clear, homosexuality is wrong. Jesus did not come to destroy the law, and because of this Christians still prefer to uphold God's law as stated in the Old Testament.

The New Testament begins with the coming of Jesus, covers His life and ministry, and His death and resurrection. It is true the New Testament does say the law does not get you into Heaven. The Old Testament did state following God's laws is good for long life.

Deuteronomy 6:1-2: "These are the commands, decrees, and regulations that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you. You must obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy, and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the LORD your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So then who is correct? The answer is right there in the Bible. Living by the law does not get you into Heaven, nor does accepting Jesus gives you permission to go out and commit crimes in this life. God's law is for all people world wide to live by in this life, and the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the way into Heaven.

Friday, January 1, 2016

God's laws are for our good, to bring long life. Many people think we don't need to follow God's laws simply because they are first listed, and mostly listed, in the Old Testament. But this is wrong. If we follow God's laws, we do what is right in God's eyes.

Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the LORD your God gives you for all time.
Deuteronomy 4:40, NIV

When George Washington was inaugurated as America's first president, his inaugural address included these words: . . . the [favorable] smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.

That sounds suspiciously like what Moses told the people of Israel as they prepared to enter the Promised Land. He reminded them that God's laws, God's eternal rules of order and right would be the foundation of the long life they were promised in that land. Live by God's words and you will live long. Ignore God's words and you will not. America was founded on God's words and applied them, and America was prosperous. In our time, many Americans have been pushing God out of America and abandoning God's laws, now this is a strugling  nation. Just look at the economy, our constant involvement in wars, even when the president threatened Isarel in 2011, god sent and earthquakes and storms against Washington D.C.

We need to apply the law the way George Washington did. God's principles of order and right cannot be ignored individually or nationally. National survival and revival depend on individuals ordering their lives according to God's Word.

Let that revival begin with you. Order your life today according to God's revealed Word and will.

I choose to follow God's laws. Do you?
